Gordon White | Depolarization, Decentralization, & Jack Sparrow

Show Notes

This week, host Greg Carlwood, of The Higherside Chats podcast talks depolarization, decentralization and Captain Jack Sparrow with returning guest and magic master, Gordon White.

There is no denying that Empires rise and fall, and there are many indications that for the western world, a perfect storm of problems is right around the corner. Thus, many of us are left wondering how we can best approach this changing landscape and prepare ourselves for the inevitable shift.
But, fear not! Because, today’s returning guest, Gordon White, joins The Higherside to impart his magical wisdom upon us and provide the proper context for tackling the ever-altering reality in which we live.
And while we ride this roller coaster of emotions filled with hope, anxiety, confusion and fear -one thing is for certain: there is no stopping it. So sit down, strap up, and get ready as Greg and Gordon go for lucky number seven.
6:45 Greg and Gordon kick things off by discussing the role magic can play and it’s effectiveness as a tool for navigating the murky waters. They also examine the necessary steps that need to be taken to bring ourselves from a place of theoretical conspiracy discussion, to material action -as well as tackle the growing polarization throughout society and explore how this natural psychological reaction is the result of a population that is living in a reality bubble that is further and further from an accurate view of the landscape.
16:42 Continuing with their conversation about the best practices for steering the ship away from the icebergs of bullshit, Greg and Gordon discuss the value of using cyclical models to help better understand the progression of society. Gordon iterates the importance of an improved understanding of metaphysics in order to aptly analyze mainstream or alternative interpretations. They also examine the cutthroat “game of thrones” playing out behind the scenes and the misguided hope hinging on Trump’s presidency.
24:50 With the need to decentralize everything from our government and money supply, to our healthcare and food sources, Greg and Gordon discuss the best ways to circumvent authoritarian control and regain sovereignty. Gordon points out, the end of the empire is nearing, the endless money spigot funding the military industrial complex is running dry, and now is the time for local participation to take a front seat. They also explore the idea that decentralization helps stop the spread of cronyism, because while corruption may be human nature, establishing safeguards through limiting the impact may be the most suitable solution.
39:30 Greg and Gordon touch upon one of the most infamous archetype, the trickster, and it’s personification in the character Jack Sparrow, from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” sagas. Gordon details how his approach to life embodies the quintessential essence of chaos magic. He also elaborates on the ways in which this approach will be the most beneficial when plotting a road map to your final destination.

  1. Something I hope more people will start looking into in terms of self/community sufficiency is somatic treatment for trauma. I teach something called Trauma Release Exercise that has helped me with Complex-PTSD, but it can help with all sorts of stress, tension and trauma along the spectrum. The beauty of TRE is that once you learn how to do it you can do it on your own, without having to pay endlessly for treatment. It can also be integrated into your own exercise routine.
The exercises are designed to fatigue the muscles and assist the body in achieving a naturally occurring neurogenic tremor that helps release built up cortisol and adrenaline that lead to acute and chronic illness. There are a lot of videos of the process on YouTube or you can check out my website at . TRE, growing my own food and learning chaos magic are the three core things I am doing to prep for my future and make a difference in my community. I would be thrilled to do a show about it if there is enough interest. Check out Poly-Vagal theory if you want more back ground on the science of sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous system functions and ideas of ways to soothe and heal trauma. Great show guys… we need more of this kind of grounded, practical approach mixed in with the woo. Cheers!

    1. I love THC+ too! And Rune Soup is great. One of my other favorites is Occulture ~ Hopefully We’ll get to hear both Gordon and Greg on there at some point, but I’m definitely looking forward to this one. Will be my soundtrack to wrk tomorrow.

      1. I’ve been enjoying Occulture also and Charm the Water & Tin Foil Hat – there are so many great voices out there now and the cream always rises to the top.

  2. Hey Carlwood! ~ Another terrific episode, of course…. So Thank You for that! And… 444 bonus points for “raining” episodes on us, lately! heehezz… I’m stopping here, for a quick comment about Gordon White…. I just absolutely love the way this guy, thinks. He’s one of those people, with whom, i share, outlooks, ideas, etc, with…. But he always seems to have, an enlightened twist, on so many key issues… So, Thanx to both of y’all for a great show! P.S. Regarding your dance, with haters from all sides, lately… You already know this but…. You are a great person and an amazing interviewer and show host. And you are VERY much appreciated by your plus members tho I’m sure that we dont tell you enough… Smile dude… Your killllin’ it!

  3. Damn Son! I woke at 530am this morning….first thought of my day was; “Greg hooked me up! I know it!” Check for episode update and Bam! Gordon White is back! Legit topics. I really enjoyed those polarization views and mass manipulations! Keep up the good fight! Stay Woke AF!

“A Spontaneous Order: The Capitalist Case for a Stateless Society is an astonishingly concise, rigorous, and accessible presentation of anarcho-capitalist ideals. It covers a wide range of topics including: Money and Banking, Monopolies and Cartels, Insurance, Health Care, Law, Security, Poverty, Education, Environmentalism, and more! To enjoy this compelling read requires no previous political, philosophical, or economic knowledge as all uncommon concepts are defined and explained in a simple yet uncompromising manner. Take heed, this work is liable to cause radical paradigm shifts in your understanding of both the State and Free Market.

Christopher “Chase” Rachels is a libertarian/anarcho-capitalist philosopher and Austrian School economist. His studies were conducted through the Ludwig von Mises Institute headquartered in Auburn, AL. Prior to his anarchist inclinations, he was employed as an intelligence analyst with the United States Air Force. He has since co-founded the Blue Ridge Liberty Project in Asheville, NC and currently hosts the An-Cap Radio YouTube series. ”

    Worthy read and interviewee perhaps…

  5. “…realize that you don’t die when you die”. People certainly need to grasp that.
    Great interview.
Gordon ,once a month, would be good medicine.
This guy has some really good ideas, concepts and perspectives.

  6. Another good chat with GW. A couple things; I wouldnt put any store in anything that the liar Buzz Aldrin has to say and I find it really strange that Gordon adopts his “space bunny” persona as soon as anything to do with space is brought up as in the Antarctica/meteor/structures etc is concerned. I guess everyone has their achilles heel! Secondly, re the MOAB thing, I guess it would be THE biggest one and not the second biggest if the nuclear thing isnt what we are told it is? Crrow has just done a nuke episode (and he ties with GW and Nick Redfern for 7 episodes I think-is he out of favour now?).
Lastly, you mentioned in the outro about the shitty attitudes within flat earth discussions but earlier on you made a quick jibe to do with white genocide. I think if you lived in northern europe, especially Sweden you wouldnt be so quick to dismiss it.
Anyway, the reason I just resubscribed was to hear GW and NR, 2 of my favourites, so job done. Cheers!

  7. Gordon is in the ten ring on a lot of things. I really must applaud his observation of the need that prepping had for permaculture, not just in a material sense but also in mindset. I remember the y2k scare when people bought a bunch of survival stuff then nothing happened. I was young enough to be rattled by it myself but lacked the ability to do much about it. Having passed through a handful of doomsdays since then perhaps I’m just cynical now. What was never addressed by most entry level prepper is long term survivability. Having a pallet of MREs, barrels of water, and enough weapons and ammo to fight both sides of the battle of Mogadishu is great, but they will eventually run dry. Unlike a bunker in the Ozarks, even if nothing awful happens a kick ass garden will remain an asset to help provide for your family no matter what. So many other things were spoken of that I could write a essay on this episode, but that subject really struck me as it is a skill and investment I am making moves to get rolling on.

  8. I heard someone state once that religion is no longer the opiate of the masses, it’s debate. everyone’s pulling resources from their own camps. good show gentlemen!

  9. Thanks so much Greg for another geat show that gave us the wisdom of Gordon White. I do look forward to hearing him on THC and I applaud your interview skills that bring out the best in all your guests. After listening him to Gordon on this show the last time he was on, I bought his book Chaos Magic. I must say that the depths that Gordon
explores his work is both fascinating and mind opening. I feel that he has one of the best grips on our current paradigm that I have come across, his advise is sound and he doesn’t avoid any of the issues involved. It’s a shame you can’t get him on more often, but I’m certainly grateful that you do keep getting back on. Keep on opening our minds and smoking that smoke.

  10. Yall are right about stepping back from media to once a week. I was thinking this a day before the episode came out. Just needed to hear it from some trusted voices. Took youtube off my phone. Fuck it. I have already spent more time on here and the forum.
