As I’ve gotten older I was starting to have medical issues where every six months or so I would get extreme pain in my stomach and would puke nonstop and would have to be taken to the hospital where I would end up staying for a few days.

I’m bringing this up because Greg was talking about his recent medical issues as of late.

the only thing that would make me feel better is smoking weed but after I smoked the sickness would eventually creep back up and I’d start feeling dizzy and stomach issues would start again.

after the last bought of having extreme stomach pains and puking and going to the hospital I stopped smoking weed all together.

that has changed everything. I no longer get the pain and puking episodes and the dizziness. My sleep is way better as well as my appetite.

I bring this up because a lot of people don’t want to believe that the weed may be causing one’s health issues, but in my case that’s exactly what it was.

I was a habitual weed smoker for over twenty years, multiple times a day and always the best weed from the stores. I also would eat a lot of edibles where I would eat around 800 mg of thc each day in tablet form

so if anyone out there is also having these kind of issues I would suggest stopping weed all together and see how it goes. It has changed my life for the better. I ended up suffering for a lot longer than I should have because I refused to believe it was the weed causing the problems. I know better now and I feel 100 times better.

just some advice to others that may find themselves in the same shoe

Glad you're on the mend! Since my first hospital stay about a month ago I stopped weed, caffeine, fast food, and alcohol. Some of these were more daily than others, but I stopped them all at the same time and honestly haven't missed any of it. I don't get cravings and I've been really surprised how easy it was to let it all go, when I assumed it would be very hard.

Hey, I worked in the medical marijuana industry for many years, and I'm convinced this fairly new phenomena of people getting stomach issues from consuming weed is due to phosphorus poisoning.

When we grow weed, it's common to give the plants a 'phosphorus load' right before harvest, which helps chunk-up the nugs. It's followed by a flush, but it also results in a higher phosphorus content in the plant. Only some clubs test for phosphorous concentrations, and the black market definitely doesn't. As flower, phospho-loaded weed usually isn't a big deal to smoke....however, if you make concentrate out of phospho-loaded nugs, the amount of phosphorus is potentiated (as well as the THC).

I recommend growing your own weed naturally (without added nutrients) and see if the problem persists. I'm almost 100% confident that's what's causing the people throwing up from weed thing....look at the symptoms of phosphorus ingestion here: https://wikem.org/wiki/Phosphorus_toxicity

Sorry to hear that's happening to you, though! Good luck!
