I'm curious how many of you rate episodes.
I have in the past for personal reasons, but I only listen to the show on apple podcast when I am driving or doing chores.
So am I doing a disservice to guests I like by not logging in?
I just want to spend less time on my computer, but I feel like the rating system could hold back bringing guests back. And despite being on twitter all day and being on a computer since the early 80s, I'm not a forum kinda joe.
I'm curious the percentage of plus members and the percentage of PM leaving reviews and if the rating system is an accurate read-out on whether someone like a podcast or not.
In all the years listening I think I skipped two podcasts, so, I love the variety here.
Anyways, have had these thoughts and decided to log in as I catch up on the summer shows.
I wanna pull my weight as a plus member.

I sometimes feel guilty that I don't log in to rate the episodes, but my life situation often dictates that I download episodes and listen to them later, offline, while I'm driving to a job site or working in my shop, etc. Sometimes I'm totally off-grid in the mountains and can only listen to downloaded media.
The fact is, I appreciate every episode, even the ones I don't jive with quite as much. I don't feel ripped off If an episode isn't my cup of tea, because I know that in the history of the show, that has never occurred more than one, or maybe two times in a single month at the very most, and not that often at all really. Perhaps a few times every year there are a small handful of episodes that I could take or leave. Besides that, I think my continued paid subscription speaks for itself.
NC, I will second everythign you say. I've been a listener since the early days and signed up in 2017 and haven't looked back. I jsut don't engage, as life situations also mitigate my listening time to when I have the headspace.
I am, maybe one a year I don't like, but I still listen for Gregs wrap up and just in case something spicy comes up. I need one new detail and I'm good.
Thanks for the feedback. have fun out there on adventures. I too listen before I go on an offline quest in the moutains and streams of Cali so my consciousness is primed for the weird.
I walk back to my car in the dark and hope I don't get abducted like the 411 peeps. I need to start going strapped with a GPS and fire arm. I forget the 3rd item you need not to get "abducted" but probably a flashlight. IDK
