So the link to this article was sent out in a work email this morning.. The MIC sure likes to rub it in the world's face it seems..
From the article: "Saudi Arabia and the UAE were the key players in a coalition that intervened in Yemen seven years ago this month with the goal of rolling back the gains of the Houthi opposition and their allies and enshrining a sympathetic government there. The war has been brutal. Coalition air strikes have targeted hospitals, civilian neighborhoods, weddings, a funeral, and even a school bus, and have caused at least 18,000 civilian casualties. Nearly 400,000 people have died in the conflict, and millions are on the brink of famine, in significant part due to a Saudi air and naval blockade that has prevented the import of desperately needed fuel and supplies."
Such a sad state we are in. These kinds of atrocities are only possible because our governments are allowed to go on making weapons deals, brokering them as middle man for the manufactures, and lining up buyers. No money goes to the US, it goes to private corporations.
Its so ironically funny that i can puke when I think of it, at home we the people are always under duress to give up all our guns, cuz "guns bad!", yet there is no problem at all selling billions $$ worth to know regimes who slaughter humans with them. We are told we need to get rid of our guns, cuz "guns bad!" yet we have no problem dumping weapons like mad into Ukraine, for free! Anyone else see the disconnect here? Its fucking despicable these kind of things happen. Like what do they think, after the dust settles in Ukraine they are going to give up all those weapons? Like the dozens of rouge militias over there wont get their hands of these weapons? Its heartbreaking to see such poor management by a global super power. We give out guns like its candy on halloween, yet we the people would have our taken from us in a heartbeat if they knew they could get away with it.
Thats what i read from that article, the crazy hypocrisy of our own government.
And in this morning's work email a link to this article was posted.. They are just being downright up front now about the warmongering..
