Anybody out there already in or looking to start an intentional homestead community? Or perhaps you’d care to share your take on the lifestyle. I’m pretty close to being self sufficient but I’m still in semi-rural suburbia. I grow most of my food and have chickens. I often fantasize about having a community to do this lifestyle with in an area with plenty of freedom of all types. (No sex cult vibes. You do yours, I’ll do mine.) It’s doable but too much work for one. Imagine 7-8 people living in little, rad, separate houses with community spaces. Outdoor kitchen, fire pit, party zones, etc…. Everybody brings their own unique skill set, their critical-thinking cap set squarely upon their open mind, as well as a sense of reciprocity. I feel like maybe this year is the year to make a move like this. no chumps, no creeps Whaddya think?
