my question to you Greg is,
At what point does the lack of consistency with file names stop being anti establishment and just end up being annoying? Mostly in terms of a strong resistance to a date, both on the podcast archive main page and in the filename.
Why do you avoid dating the shows? I suspect you originally thought that dating the show would date the content, but that's inevitable. Now it's just kind of awkward clues from what people are saying that indicate how old a show is.
Might i suggest,
THCYEARMONTHDAY_FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_SubjectNumberOne_SubjectNumberTwo_Plus.mp3
THC20161108_Joseph_Farrell_CommonCore_Plus.mp3

This way the files sort alphabetically by date. You've gotten pretty good at being consistent recently, thank you!
There's no need for underscores instead of spaces in this day and age, but some servers prefer them.
CamelCase is a far less messy strategy for file names than underscores/hyphens, SubjectNumberOne vs. Subject-number-one.
it's very interesting that you spent time on this. why not just rename your local files? for, as my papa says, "we've got bigger fish to fry".
