The Phenomenon and The Shape of Reality
When we engage with the types of topics that THC covers, paranormal phenomena, parapolitical machinations, synchromysticism, esoteric techniques and technologies, the presence and impact of nonhuman intelligence, and the potential reality of topics long ascribed to religion or myth, I find a consistent question about cause, source, and method. If these persistent numbers that show up around charged events have meaning or power who or what puts them there and how do they do it? If magic and demons and angels are all real, what does that say about the ecology of this realm? If the Greys, the Fae, cryptids, anomolous craft, and poltergeist are all manifestation of a common phenomena, where do they come from and what are they?
I hear these questions come up in many discussions about these topics and they are the types of questions that nag at me when I delve into these topics. And over the last two decades I've often felt like I have some semblance of an answer to these questions that coherently embraces the whole picture, but I struggle to put it into words. Recently, while listening to the Alex Fulton episode around crytokubrology, I felt a small break through in language for my perception and I decided to share it here since Greg often articulates these questions and I think this community will be an interesting sounding board. So here goes.
To begin with the fundamental issue, I believe that all of these issues are explained geometrically. Let's look at synchronicity to expand on what I mean by that. When we look at events and see repeating numbers or look at people's lives and see temporal relationships repeating, I believe that what we are seeing is a higher order geometry of this realm manifest at a lower dimension. Comparable to seeing shadows cast by a structure or perceiving the texture of a substructure through a covering material. I believe that mathematics is important because it is an abstraction that allows us to both explore and express aspects of reality that lie outside of range of our basic sensory organs. That's why I believe that numbers repeating is so common, numbers are human abstractions that were derived from tracing substructures of reality and as such they manifest in our reality as "tags" on various structures in the undercarriage of reality. This is also why I believe astrology is real. It may be the case that these various celestial lights emit some kind of influential energy, but I believe that these lights act more like the numbers on a clock. They communicate a universal position to us, and by correlating observation over time with the repeating patterns of location for these positional indicators, we are able to develop a map of the more subtle structures that impact our daily life.
I believe that this also explains the reasons that magic works and explains why it's mechanics typically combine location, orientation, positioning of self and ceremonial objects, specific sounds, and timing. Much like interacting with a computer requires us to engage in motions that are seemingly arbitrary and unrelated to our supposed goal because they involve interacting with tools designed to interact with an invisible realm. The various techniques of magic are an artificial structure designed to allow us to engage with the invisible infrastructure of this realm. Power spots may represent nodes where particular levers of action intersect with our physical realm, particular incantations, songs, or musical instruments may be harmonic modulators alter our resonance to permit engagement of nonphysical levers, religious icons and relics may be attention manipulation tools that allow our consciousness to reposition itself in a way that makes it better able to connect to the mechanisms the magician seeks to manipulate.
The big question that this framing doesn't directly answer is what the various anomalous items (cryptids, poltergeist, ETs, etc...) are. But I do think it offers some hints. They may be beings that reside in corners of this realm that aren't always visible or tangible to us (and may experience us the same way) and they may be beings that interact with a different set of dimensional aspects of the realm. Importantly, if they are all expressions of a common phenomenon, the reason that they manifest differently across cultures and over time could be because our mental models are aspects of this higher order geometry, like lenses that alter the appearance of an object depending on their construction and orientation. Perhaps the difference between a poltergeist and a grey alien is akin to the difference between a street lamp seen through sunglasses or through those glasses that make everything look like hearts.
If you've read this far, I appreciate you. If I've made zero sense, please let me know. If you've got something to add please do it, poke holes, ask questions, challenge my assumptions. Curious to hear your thoughts.
