Howdy Greg,

I will not be able to explain this as elegantly as it is explained at its website tychos.space.

Basically Simon Shack presents a view of the solar system that fits the observable motions of the solar system recorded in detail by Tycho Brahe in the 17th century and  that the Copernican heliocentric model can not explain. Shack builds upon Brahe's data and realizes that we live in a geocentric (or barycentric) system where the Sun and Mars form a binary pair with each other and the outer planets orbit the Sun. Mercury and Venus are moons of the sun.

There are many new interesting facts brought out by the tychos model. Among them is that the earth is not motionless in the center of the solar system as Brahe had thought, the earth actually orbits the barycenter of this sun/mars binary system in a 25344 year orbit at the speed of 1mph.

Also, The moons true mean synodic period is the basis for the resonate orbits of all the planets keeping somehow the entire system in sync like a clockwork.

Patrick Holmquist has assisted Shack in building a GUI simulator that is the most complete simulator to date because it also shows the motion of the stars in relation to the solar system.

This would be a great and interesting interview because it brings up the potential corruption of Brahe's data by Kepler. it puts into questions Einstein. The tychos presents a rational view of the solar system that actually fits what we see.

although the model is a graphic that people can go look at themselves online for free. I feel the subject and concepts can be described and discussed on a audio podcast with no problems

here are some more links.

the website is tychos.space.
