Alan Ereira would be a great interview. He wrote a giant tome called "Gold: How it Shaped History" It is an intimidating book by volume but I assure you it goes down easy. He also wrote other books about his time in Columbia with the tribe of Kogi who warn little brothers (thats us, whitey!) that removing gold from the earth is killing it/us. That book isnt as long, I think its called "Elder Brothers." Also fascinating material. Alan is a brilliant writer. I have heard him speak before on the wise wolf (tony arterburn) podcast. I dont know how to get in touch with Alan but he published that giant book a couple years ago so should be contactable. I think he is from England.
