I can't remember off the top of my head which recent episode it was, but Greg was talking with the guest about numbers and synchromysticism. He said something to the effect of "what if there's something about numbers like 33 that just have some inherent effect on reality..." I'm paraphrasing.
Anyway, the very same day I listened to that, my girlfriend and I went to a laundromat that we had never been to, even though it is one of the closest ones to where we live, and quite nice and clean.
So, we chose a washer at random, loaded it, got quarters from the change machine( also one of the few mats left around that uses coins), and as I began putting in the coins, I noticed that the machine beeped and the start button light lit up after inserting only one quarter.
I shrugged, and pressed start, and the laundry cycle began.
Thinking maybe we just hit it lucky that day, we tested it by returning to the same place two additional times over the following 10 days or so, and lo and behold, every time we insert a single quarter in this particular washing machine, it starts washing, despite saying that it takes nearly $3 to run it.
The number of that machine?
You guessed it.
33
Now my mystic stoner curiosity has me wondering if everyone who uses that machine gets the same deal, or if it only blesses me with the glitch.
I mean, surely the owners would have noticed by now that machine 33 only ever has like 5 or 6 quarters in it at the end of the day while the rest have full coin boxes.
Anyway, moral of the story...let Glitch 33 work for you!
