Whassup guys!
Thought it was time I show my deep appreciation for Greg's work and unique thing and so here I am a new subscriber.I'm from California originally grew up in Altadena which burned down in the fires. My Dad's house up in smoke like a lottapeoples. But I moved away to Asia in 1996 and hardly have been back since. I lived and taught in English in Korea for few years have taught in Taiwan and Jakarta Indonesia.
I am a lifelong yogi and sometime musician and poet, I like making up tunes in my DAW and messing with sounds in NAtive Instruments Reaktor and the free modular virtual analog synthesizer VCV Rack which is crazy good! Also have got into doing fake surrealist art using AI art programs and using the output to make montages for my tunes. I like rock, jazz, blues, funk and anytghing weird and spacey and.or good like Can, Holger Czukay, Dexter Gordon, Miles Davis, Eric Dolphy, Charles Mingus, Buddy Guy, Arto Lindsay, Aphex Twin, Fela Kuti, Led Zepplin, Acid Mothers Temple, Helios Creed and Chrome, Jeff Beck, Lee Scratch Perry, Howlin Wolf, The Cramps, I could be here all day dropping names.
I grew up a mysticaly inclined type in a materialist atheist family. Have seen ufos a number of times in my life, met and had drinks with a human type alien unbeknownst to me and I was apprehended by alleged galactic control systems personel and informed that I had been hanging out for about two hours with an off worlder who wasnt welcome on the planet apparently. There may have been an elborate hoax going on but the galactic authority guy met me in a bar and read my mind perfectl;y to the point where he was telling me what I was going to say before i said it and told me many trivial details no one would have known such as what I thought of Jacques Vallee's book Confrontations that I read 40 years prior.
Other things off the top of my head, I once attended a Korean shamnanistic exorcism of dead Japanese brothel patrons at a beach in Busan and witnessed the shaman taking physical control of the crowd making the left side of the cowd jump up from their seats and perform synchronised movements and then sit them down and do the same to the left side. I was unaffected however and remained sitting maybe because I was a foreigner, I dont know. He also did this while riding a unicycle in trance on a high wire about 20 feet above the beach sand and while balancing numerous items stacked on his head.
