I joined PLUS today after being a THC "barnicle" for about 11 years. I guess Greg's discussion at the end of the Topher Gardner episode finally got me. I could relate in so many ways to what he's going through right now. My background: born and raised in sunny SoCal, spent considerable adult time in the PNW, and now find myself in the Midwest for the last nine years. Loving the cheap cost of living but it feels like I'm in an uncomfortable cultural inbetween space ... too weird to make any close Iowa friends but I saw too much the past six years to be able to fully relate to my West Coast friends. Most would be shocked if I really shared what's on my mind. I found the only other weirdo in Iowa and married him but we both suffer from having anyone to relate to. Anyway, I'm also a Rune Souper since the OG days. Hello everyone!
