Regarding Ads Greg, just do the damn thing. I know it's a standard you live by and that's commendable, but your audience won't care. I will keep paying my monthly subscription. All the podcasts and shows I listen to have ad reads. I will not see you as a sellout. Whatever keeps you putting out great content while at the same time putting your financial worries to rest is fine by me.

I’m going to upgrade to the $12. I’m a V4V and this is a great opportunity for me to say I really value your hard work and content! Cheers!

I think Greg put a lot of thought into it.  Thanks for letting us in on your train of thought, it makes sense to me   Thank you for a great show with No-ads, it is a simple luxury but I value it.  Maybe I will go in for the vids too, tho I love that you are leaving things same for us audio folks

Cheers guys! I might revisit the idea of ads after a year of THC TV, but it will just depend on how the numbers go. There are factors completely unrelated to numbers and income though.

I've realized it does hurt my guest selection, b/c many people say "I just can't do two hours." It's a little silly to me, but that's a fact. In the current podcasting environment it's considered a big ask, on top of half of it not being public or shareable for them. (That part I'm more understanding of)  So it might offer me more flexibility to have an ad-supported free show, b/c I could just throw in random 1 hour episodes with those sorts of guests, and consider it a little bonus just b/c there is some revenue in it via ads.

Quite the obstacle course to wend, so many factors I wouldn't have the perspective to consider.  Thanks for sharing it.  I have faith that you can maintain integrity and quality however you need to go.  Wild how fast these things are changing.  Heaps of blessings for you
