At the very beginning of the story is a French archeologist Thierry Jamin, who has been
contacted by a grave robber who tried to sell him the mummies. Me being French I stumbled on the story at the very very
beginning before Jamin even had possession of the mummies because I was already following this guy for other more classical
archeology discovers.
He regularly shared his experience and the progress of the story on a French youtube channel. He gave many details on
hours long video calls for months, I followed the story extensively, this was well before Gaia TV took hold on the story.
He shared about the various exterior private parties interested in the mummies, the government influence in all this, the negotiation
and back end deals with the grave robber, the first expedition with the robber, shared the first pictures taken, recounted on exploration days, everything.
We were a small group actively following the story from France, some of us even sent him money to make private DNA tests, we
had a private internet forum where he regularly uploaded high res pictures and scanner shots, some French podcasters traveled
to interview him on sight.
This was years before before Gaia, then Gaia TV took hold of the story, everything when can of blacked out for a long time before Jaime Maussan
started to talk about it again. I had already started to loose interest at that time. Then the story came back a few years ago as a totally shit show.
I didn't follow the story at all since the early years with Jamin, but all I wanted to say is that I'm 100% he is totally honest in this story and that the original mummies are real.
Anyway, that post is already too long and I'm not writing to convince anybody, just wanted to share the French part of the story that got overlooked since it went international, in case you're interested the mummies story.
