Gordan's passing is still on my mind a lot these days. Even though I never had any interaction with him, his teachings and thoughts have shaped a lot of who I am today.

I was wondering if any one has any more news on the status of Runesoup after his passing? I was last a member early in the year. I know it is still early after his passing, but I wonder if there has been any other unreleased content that has been released? Are they still going to move forward with courses from other members or others? I hope they do continue to do courses and such in some fashion...

Any other news?

Thanks

James has said he will keep the Mighty network going, though he said "some changes will have to be made".  What that means, I don't know, he's told me he is thankful the space is providing healing for everyone, and that Gordon was extremely proud of the community he built.   There has been no additional material added from James, and whether or not Gordon had begun recording his next planned course "Jeebus for Magicians" is unknown, he was at the very least right on the cusp of beginning, given the timeline, so I have a hard time believe there aren't some lessons that were at least recorded in a rough form, but we don't know.  From the perspective of the community, it is tighter and more supportive than ever.  I've had a long life of joining various online communities, and I can say with certainty that there is none that even comes close to being as welcoming, helpful, and interesting at the Rune Soup community.  The diversity of characters and expertise there is simply unmatched.
Within that, the intention and prayer groups are still very active.  One member has undertaken to running a study group of the Wealth Magic course, and intends to continue running group sessions through different courses.  Others have offered one off live stream events.  Gordon had asked me to co-convene the Book club last March, and so I've taken it as my mission to continue on with the Zodiacal Book Club, which is an extremely fascinating monthly discussion with like minded-esoteric individuals dissecting great works of fiction.  I also have some interviews lined up for Zoom sessions in the near future which align with Rune Soup ideology and interest.  I'm sure there are more things happening on the horizon.  The forum is still very active with experienced practitioners of all sorts ready to help.
I'd urge anyone interested to join up, as the courses that are already there which Gordon crafted are beyond anything you can imagine for $17 a month.  I know Mighty is an expensive platform to maintain, so I do hope that new people will sign up and see the phenomenal legacy Gordon left.  What he did with half a life is likely more than you'll be able to digest in a full one.

I just noticed someone else is running a study group starting on October 4 running through Gordon's Foundations course, which is a profoundly important, dare I say, foundational piece of work, so now is a great time to sign up.

What incredible timing!  James with an update today!

Over the past few months, it has been truly amazing to see how you have pulled together as a community to support each other and continue in the work that Gordon started. I can think of no better legacy for Gordon to have you continue to share knowledge on Mighty and come together for friendship, prayer and learning. (And memes… Gordon would be upset if I forgot to mention the memes.)

Being able to connect and share in magical practice has always been important for RSPMs and I will be looking at how we can create more opportunities for this going forward. I would welcome your thoughts on achieving this.

In the meantime, I wanted to let you know about a couple of things:

I know a lot of you had been wondering where Gordon had got to with the Jebus for Magicians course. While it had not been completed, he had made progress on the course material. Pulling that content together is nearly complete, and will be published starting in the second half of October. As this will be his final work, I wanted to make sure that the content is presented as fully as possible rather than rushing it out.

I am also working towards the publication of a second edition of Fortune's Fools and a print edition of Pieces of Eight - both to be released in 2027. Any announcements will come through to members as usual, but if you love spam - or want to tell your friends - you can add your email to the list here.

Much love,

James
