Book about buildup of communistic China

Can anyone recommend a book on external influences and agendas on building communist china.
I've heard rumours about Rockefeller involvement (training warefare in the US) and Mao being a Yale scholar on THC or perhaps perhaps as part of yt clips about Tragedy and Hope, but I havent found any single book that describes this. Perhaps Tragedy and Hope, but please let me know if you can recommend a book on this topic.
